What data is processed
Browsing data. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, operated by GitHub, Inc. To serve the pages, GitHub receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and may log it for security purposes. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Icons. Icons are loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them. See the jsDelivr privacy policy.
Visit statistics. The site uses GoatCounter to count visits. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not track individual visitors; it records only aggregate information such as the pages visited, the referring site, browser, operating system, language, screen width and country. See the GoatCounter privacy policy.
Messages. If you write to me by email, I use your address and the content of your message only to reply and to follow up on your request.
The site has no forms, no user accounts and no advertising, and does not use cookies (see the cookie policy).
Purposes and legal basis
- Delivering the site securely and understanding, in aggregate, how it is used: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Replying to your messages: steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention
Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. Data processed by GitHub, jsDelivr and GoatCounter is kept according to their own policies.
Recipients and transfers
Data is not sold or shared for marketing. Besides the providers listed above, it is not disclosed to third parties unless required by law. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case they rely on the safeguards described in their privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
